The White-headed Duck is a blue bill, small stiff-tailed duck that breeds in Spain, North Africa, and Asia.
Their breeding habitat is large tracts of open water with dense stands of aquatic plants to provide cover and nesting sites. White-headed Duck dives and swim underwater for vegetable matter and are reluctant to fly, preferring to swim for cover.
This duck is considered endangered due reduction in population due to habitat loss and hunting and introducing of the Ruddy Duck
